On March 28, millions of people around the world will turn off their lights for one hour to show their care for nature. This seemingly small gesture is important because it reminds us how much we can achieve when we act together.

The Earth Hour initiative marks its 20th anniversary this year. It began in 2007 at the initiative of the World Wide Fund for Nature, when more than 2 million people and over 2,000 companies in Sydney switched off their lights for one hour. Today, Earth Hour is one of the largest environmental movements in the world, annually bringing together millions of people, cities, institutions, and businesses in support of nature and a sustainable future for the planet.

Bulgaria Mall will also take part in the initiative by symbolically switching off the building’s lights between 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM. Participation in such campaigns is part of the shopping center’s commitment to encouraging a more responsible attitude toward the environment.

The mall building already operates intelligent energy management systems that support more efficient electricity consumption and contribute to reducing the carbon footprint. Through such solutions and initiatives, Bulgaria Mall continues to develop sustainable practices in its daily operations.

With this symbolic gesture, the shopping center joins millions of people around the world who believe that even small actions can lead to big change.
